Sauber Continues to Feed Starving Children

Every year, millions of children die from preventable causes such as pneumonia, diarrhea, malaria and undernutrition. Hunger is still causing nearly half of deaths in children under 5 years old. Sauber Mfg Co has again partnered with Feed My Starving Children to help facilitate and fund a mobile pack event in our community.

This year’s event had 1,912 volunteers that packed a total of 554,256 meals; which feeds 1,518 kids for a year.  The event raised $495,000.  Of that, Sauber Mfg and its employees contributed $20,970, an amount that will feed 238 kids for an entire year!

FMSC works with food distribution partners that stay with communities for the long haul, empowering them to move from relief to development. FMSC meals are developed by food science and nutrition professionals to supplement nutritional needs and reduce problems with malnutrition. Nutrition allows children to grow, thrive and develop to their full potential.

Storm Recovery Solutions

Hurricanes and storms across the country have been prolific and devastating this past year.

We are listening to the needs of the field operators, and we have responded with serious solutions.

Here are two significant tools to assist you with storm restoration and recovery efforts.

The first can replace the need for a much-in-demand line truck. The Rapid Overhead Recovery Trailer is designed specifically to restore the line by holding wires while the damaged poles are restored, this trailer can be left in the field indefinitely until rebuilding work can be scheduled. With multiple staged units, crews can quickly deploy to where damage is most significant.

The second unit is engineered to address the unwanted issue of having tools and jobsite equipment tied to a truck.  The tow vehicle need not be a line truck and is free to detach at the jobsite.  This workhorse Construction and Maintenance Trailer is specifically designed to provide a fully stocked and ready to deploy mobile solution.  Completely customizable and provided with a SmartPower solar battery system for near-infinite flasher and compartment lighting, this unit is also equipped with a lockable drawbar ring for 24/7 security.

The Utility Expo 2021

The 2021 Utility Expo was a first in many ways.  In addition to the name change (formerly known as the ICUEE Show,) The Expo’s 32 acres were re-mapped providing us the opportunity to expand our footprint and bring even more equipment to demonstrate.  Our new location proved to be beneficial as well, having Altec as a neighbor, located at a shuttle bus drop off, near the entrance to the underground area, and close to the food and facilities of the Broadbent Arena.

However, the biggest benefit is to be able to continue important relationships with our customers and to establish new ones.  We’ve always placed a great value in being able to directly compare our equipment to any of our competitors.

Serious buyers want to understand the value we offer for their organization.  Being a manufacturer who is serious about producing the best equipment available makes a good marriage, and one that can last a lifetime.

Newest Building Sees Full Utilization

Our newly completed Barn is the largest expansion in our history. Fully occupied and improving productivity each day, this facility also allows for reallocation of existing work spaces like a complete renovation of our critical engineering work space. The extra square footage we’ve gained also spreads our workforce out and provides convenience and safety to our employee’s production efforts.
