Stainless-Steel Toolboxes

We are pleased to offer a premium line of custom stainless-steel toolboxes with an outstanding feature set at responsible prices. These heavy-duty toolboxes are built from 14-gauge stainless steel. 304 Polished stainless steel strap hinges feature Delrin bushings for low-friction opening and closure. A sealed compression latch and rubber gasketing ensure a weather and road-proof compartment. We always add panel stiffeners and gas shocks for larger dimensioned panels. Being a fully-customizable toolbox; dividers, bins, shelves, hooks and other requirements can be added.

Custom Reel Frame

We develop reel frame kits that retrofit to your existing flatbed truck or trailer. Bolt-on/off convenience creates a lot of flexibility for your fleet. Outfitting a custom frame with a turret assures the reel can line up to the work, not the whole vehicle. Our turrets lock on 6-degree intervals and rotate fully loaded with less than 10 pounds of force. A cost-effective alternative to a new trailer purchase. Contact us to discuss your application.

Turrets

Line up the work without lining up the trailer. Turrets are a great way to increase productivity in the field and make quick work of cable or wire installation. Galvanized turret frames lock on 6-degree intervals with a stainless steel and bronze positioning system. Modular turntable bearings provide 105,000 lbs. axial and 19,000 ft-lbs. moment load capacity and are so over-speced, we guaranteed them for 10 years. Retrofits for your existing trucks and trailers are also available.

All-Weather Wheel Chocks

Specify Sauber Mfg. Co. All-Weather Wheel Chocks for safety. The grip strut face locks wheels tight on all surfaces in all weather conditions. The chock face grips tight to the tire surface while the motion of the tire wedges the chock between the wheel and the ground. The orange urethane grip handle is highly visible and reminds users to deploy and retrieve it. It is comfortable and easy to grip with gloved or bare hands.

Winch Binder with Strap Choices

Ratchet-type binders are known as chin-busters and back-strainers for good reason. Finding that next tooth position to provide the right strength and torque is often frustrating and dangerous.

We offer self-locking, worm gear winch binders to eliminate a risk to safety with a 5500# capacity. They’re simple to use with the ability to hold tension at all times. With highly durable component materials and finishes, it is safer, easier to use and longer lasting than ratchet type binders. After thousands of installations in the field, they are tested and preferred by users across the U.S. and Canada. Our galvanized crank handle makes the operation smooth and simple. The 4″W nylon straps are color coded to identify length, for simple, correct replacement. Right-sized straps eliminate excessive strap tails after securement. Heavy duty hooks are installed opposite binders to secure the strap D-ring.

Hot dipped galvanized finish is standard across our entire line of trailers.

Experience counts and you can count on weldments and equipment designs which optimize the benefits of hot dipped galvanizing. We include bolt-on cargo decking that is flat and safe to walk on. In addition, we provide accessories in hot dipped galvanized whenever feasible. Often, we’ll provide axle components in galvanized finish.  In fact, all our trailer wheels are galvanized as well.

Truck Lighting Standard

Choose an experienced upfitter and manufacturer that can make a real difference in the final product. Your Sauber Mfg. Co. up fit includes truck lighting standards chosen to ensure reliability and usefulness.

Chassis wiring is connected to our harness system which is fully submersible, integrates factory molded secondary wiring connections and includes plug and play lamp connectors. Individual wires are color coded following SAE standards. The harness and other wiring is mounted with mechanically fastened grommets. Grommets are always installed where passing through steel structures.

LED FMVSS lamps are chosen for durability with secure connections via plug-and-play connectors. Clearance lamps are ¾” bullet type to insure long life with minimal chance of damage. The standard combined LED stop-turn-tail-backup lamps offer cleaner installation while leaving room for operator access or additional lighting devices.
